About the region
The Province of Central Finland is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful regions in Finland. Being a part of the Lakeland area, the landscapes of the region are a unique mix of lakes, islands and hills. Due to such a great variety of landscapes, Central Finland is famous for its numerous places to enjoy outdoor activities all year round. In winter, you can go downhill skiing at one of the ski resorts, skate or have fun during snowmobile safaris. In summer, you can bicycle, swim in the lakes or hike in one of the five national parks. We are also The Sauna Region of the World!
