Jukolan Juusto

The award-winning Aito Cheddar from the cheesery at Leivonmäki in Joutsa is a taste that you won’t forget! The cheese is hand-made using the traditional Cheddar-making method. The freshest morning milk from Jukolan Juusto’s own dairy farm is used as the ingredient. The Cheddar cheese made by the artisans is produced from hard work and a passion for cheeses. Café Meijerinliiteri

Café Meijerinliiteri is a unique, family owned summer café located in the heart of Joutsa. The café is located in a farm which was built in the 18th century. This culture-filled café serves treats for every sense! The ingredients of the freshly baked slow-food delicacies are locally sourced, and all the recipes and flavors follow the rhythm of the seasons and the surrounding nature.

In addition to sipping a coffee under the birch, you can visit the art gallery and concert room ”Galleria Jäähuone” or explore the second hand dress shop which also sells local honey and hand-made soaps.
