The observation tower in Kirkkovuori
The observation tower in Kirkkovuori is a must when visiting Karstula. This log-built tower is over 20 metres high. 350 metres long nature trail leads to the hill and the view from the top is breathtaking. You will see for example the Lake Pääjärvi and the municipal centre of Karstula along with forests and fields. The observation tower is open for public all year round.
The car museum Wanhat Wehkeet conceals up to 100 different cars and other modes for transportation from different decades inside! The oldest ones are from 1920s but each one of them have been restored as they were bought yesterday! For revealing the secrets you can visit this museum from June to August. It is also open for groups all year round. In the area you will also find a caravan camping site, accommodation, a bowling alley and a restaurant.
The church of Karstula
The church of Karstula is a traditional log-built wooden church. The church was completed in 1853 and the church represents the late style of empire. You will also find a bell tower next to the church. Bell tower was completed in 1815.
