Pure nature and waters of Konnevesi
The pure nature and waters are always near in Konnevesi. The biggest lakes are the Southern and the Northern Konnevesi and Lake Keitele. Fishing, horse riding, hiking or canoeing are examples to have a good time. The municipality of Konnevesi is also the starting point for the 60 kilometres long Konnevesi-Laukaa canoe trail which follows the calm and beautiful traditional routes taken by ancient hunters and fishermen.
Konnevesi church is the only church made of granite in Jyväskylä Region. The church was designed by the architect Ilmari Launis and was built in 1921-1923. The rocks were brought to the building site by horses from near-by hill Kuikkavuori.
